Pink Note
One morning briefing a day. On-device. Private.
Open Pink Note in the morning. It reads your calendar for today, fetches the local weather from Apple Weather, and asks Apple's on-device Foundation Models to write a short, warm two-paragraph briefing about the day ahead. AVSpeech reads it back in your chosen voice. The script and audio save to your year archive. At the end of the year, 365 short briefings scroll past as a record of what your mornings looked like.
How it works
- Tap the morning composer. Pink Note asks once for Calendar and Location access, then runs the briefing on-device.
- EventKit reads today's events, WeatherKit pulls the current conditions and the day's forecast.
- Apple's on-device Foundation Models writes a warm, ~150-word, two-paragraph script.
- AVSpeechSynthesizer renders the script to an m4a audio file and saves it locally.
- Tap play to listen while you make coffee or commute. The briefing and its audio stay in your year archive.
Requires Apple Intelligence
Pink Note runs Apple's on-device Foundation Models. That model is available on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 family, iPhone 17 family, and any iPad with M-series silicon, all running iOS or iPadOS 26 or later, with Apple Intelligence enabled in Settings. On older devices, Pink Note shows a clear message and does not generate.
Weather data attribution
Pink Note uses Apple Weather (via WeatherKit) to fetch the current temperature, condition, and the day's high and low. The Apple Weather mark and a link to Apple's legal attribution page are displayed in the briefing sheet whenever weather data appears, and a permanent attribution row sits in the app's Settings under About. What stays on your device
- No accounts, no email, no signup.
- No analytics, no third-party SDKs, no ad networks.
- The Foundation Models call runs on your device. Your calendar text never leaves the phone.
- Weather lookups go to Apple Weather using only your coarse location. Pink Note does not store your coordinates.
- The only other network call is to Apple's StoreKit when you choose to subscribe.
