How it works
- Open Pink Lens. The live camera viewfinder finds text in the world automatically using Apple's data scanner.
- Tap a phrase to capture it. The exact text is read on-device. Apple's on-device language model writes one short note about what it might mean.
- The capture drops into your permanent library. A small thumbnail of where you stood, the text itself, and the one-line gloss.
- Search across every rubbing you have ever made by word or phrase. The library grows forever — no annual reset, no Dec 31 reveal.
- Pin the latest rubbing to your Lock Screen. By year three you have hundreds of moments you wanted to remember.
What makes it different
Pink Lens treats the physical world as a permanent text collection. The live camera viewfinder is the primary daily surface, not a one-shot scan. Each capture pairs the exact text with a short on-device gloss. The library is the artifact — it accumulates across years without reset, like a forest you keep planting. No other Studio app uses the live data scanner as the journal mechanic, and no other Studio app pairs world-text capture with an on-device gloss.
Requires Apple Intelligence
Pink Lens runs Apple's on-device data scanner and language model. They are available on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 family, iPhone 17 family, and any iPad with M-series silicon, all running iOS or iPadOS 26 or later. On older devices, Pink Lens shows a clear message and does not generate glosses.
What stays on your device
- No accounts, no email, no signup.
- No analytics, no third-party SDKs.
- No camera frames, captured text, or gloss notes leave your device.
- The only network call is to Apple's StoreKit when you choose to subscribe.
Pricing
Three captures free on install. After that, choose Pro Monthly at $3, Pro Annual at $13, or a one-time Lifetime unlock at $29. All purchases are handled by Apple and managed under your Apple ID. Subscriptions auto-renew until canceled in iOS Settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
