Terms of Use

Acceptance

By installing or using the Pink Halo iOS app (“Pink Halo”, “the app”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

Pink Halo is published by Danielius Studio LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company at 30 N Gould St, Suite #5280, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA (“we”, “us”).

What Pink Halo is

Pink Halo is a personal daily-artifact app for iPhone. Once a day, you open the TrueDepth front camera and Pink Halo captures a single frame, runs Apple's ARKit face-tracking pipeline against it on-device to extract 52 facial blendShape coefficients, discards the frame, and saves the numerical vector plus a derived dominant-expression label as a dated entry. Over a year, the entries become a radar/heatmap visualization of how your expression coordinates drifted, plus a Lock Screen widget when you unlock Pro.

Pink Halo is not a face-recognition tool, a biometric identity service, an emotion-detection system, a therapy or mood-tracking medical product, or a substitute for professional mental-health care. The 52 blendShape values are a geometric description of facial muscle activation, not an assessment of how you feel.

Pink Halo requires an iPhone with the TrueDepth front camera system (iPhone X or later). Without TrueDepth hardware, ARKit face tracking is unavailable and the app cannot function.

The app makes no network calls except to Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases. ARKit face tracking and all derived values run entirely on-device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Camera permission and what we do with it

Pink Halo accesses the TrueDepth front camera only during the few seconds of an active capture session that you start by tapping the capture button. The image frame is held in memory only long enough for ARKit to read the 52 blendShape values, then discarded. The app does not save, export, or write any image of your face to your Photos library, and does not perform face recognition or identity matching of any kind.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pink Halo on iOS devices you own or control, subject to Apple's standard App Store Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “EULA”) which is incorporated by reference: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the Apple EULA controls.

Free window and subscriptions

When you first install Pink Halo, every feature is unlocked for three days with no payment and no account. This is a no-strings free window, not a trial signup.

After the three-day window, you may continue using the app for free with up to three Halo entries lifetime, OR accept a one-time gift screen offering two weeks free of the Monthly subscription ($4/month after the two weeks). You may also purchase Annual ($25/year) or Lifetime ($59 one-time) at any time from the Settings screen. Pro unlocks unlimited captures, the year radar visualization, and the Lock Screen widget.

All payments are processed through Apple's StoreKit and are subject to Apple's standard subscription terms, including auto-renewal. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in the iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions screen.

The Lifetime tier is a one-time non-consumable purchase. It remains active for as long as Apple keeps Pink Halo available on the App Store under your Apple ID.

Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works of Pink Halo, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law. You are responsible for the captures you record; the app provides no sharing or publishing surface, and entries are kept locally for your own personal reflection.

Not therapy, not medical advice, not biometric identification

Pink Halo is a personal-artifact tool that turns ARKit blendShape geometry into a year-long visualization. The dominant-expression label and the radar visualization are descriptive, not diagnostic. They are not therapy, mood assessment, emotion recognition, or medical advice. The 52 blendShape values are not a biometric identifier that can recognize you across sessions; they describe transient facial muscle activation in a single moment.

Disclaimers

Pink Halo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Danielius Studio LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Apple as third-party beneficiary

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Danielius Studio LLC, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for Pink Halo or its contents. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, except where Apple's EULA requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of Pink Halo after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
