Acceptance

By installing or using the Pink Glance iOS app (“Pink Glance”, “the app”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

Pink Glance is published by Danielius Studio LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company at 30 N Gould St, Suite #5280, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA (“we”, “us”).

What Pink Glance is

Pink Glance is a personal real-world-text-fragment capture app for iPhone. You open a live camera viewfinder powered by Apple's VisionKit DataScannerViewController in text-recognition mode. Recognized text is highlighted on-screen on-device. When you tap a highlighted fragment, Pink Glance captures only the fragment text and saves it as a dated glance entry, with an optional one-word context label you can add. Pro unlocks unlimited glances, a year fragment wall, and a Lock Screen widget.

Pink Glance is not a document scanner, a full-page OCR archiver, a translator, a cloud notebook, or a social sharing tool. It captures short fragments of real-world text into a personal archive on your device. The app does not save photos of the scene.

The live text scanner requires iOS 16 or later because DataScannerViewController is only available on iOS 16+.

The app makes no network calls except to Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases. OCR and language detection both run entirely on-device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Camera permission and what we do with it

Pink Glance opens the camera only while the scanner is active. Live frames are processed by VisionKit on-device; Pink Glance itself does not read individual camera frames. No image is saved. Only the text fragment you explicitly tap is captured. As soon as you close the scanner, the camera session ends.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pink Glance on iOS devices you own or control, subject to Apple's standard App Store Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “EULA”) which is incorporated by reference: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the Apple EULA controls.

Free window and subscriptions

When you first install Pink Glance, every feature is unlocked for three days with no payment and no account. This is a no-strings free window, not a trial signup.

After the three-day window, you may continue using the app for free with up to three glance entries lifetime, OR accept a one-time gift screen offering two weeks free of the Monthly subscription ($4/month after the two weeks). You may also purchase Annual ($25/year) or Lifetime ($59 one-time) at any time from the Settings screen. Pro unlocks unlimited glances, the year fragment wall, and the Lock Screen widget.

All payments are processed through Apple's StoreKit and are subject to Apple's standard subscription terms, including auto-renewal. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in the iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions screen.

The Lifetime tier is a one-time non-consumable purchase. It remains active for as long as Apple keeps Pink Glance available on the App Store under your Apple ID.

Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works of Pink Glance, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law. You are responsible for what you point the scanner at and for the fragments you capture, including respecting other people's privacy and any signage, posting, or filming restrictions of the place you are in.

Not a verbatim record

Recognized text is produced by Apple's on-device OCR and may contain mistakes, missed characters, or misread glyphs, especially in low light, with handwriting, or with unusual fonts. Pink Glance does not claim that captured fragments are a verbatim record of the source text. You are responsible for verifying anything important.

Disclaimers

Pink Glance is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Danielius Studio LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Apple as third-party beneficiary

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Danielius Studio LLC, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for Pink Glance or its contents. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, except where Apple's EULA requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of Pink Glance after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
