Pink Glance

Catch text fragments from the world. On-device.

Open the live camera scanner. Apple's VisionKit highlights text in the frame. Tap any highlight to keep it as a dated glance entry. Signs, menus, posters, packaging, graffiti. Recognition runs entirely on your device.

How it works

Open Pink Glance and tap the scanner. The viewfinder uses Apple's VisionKit DataScannerViewController for live on-device text recognition.
Point at any text in the world. VisionKit highlights recognized fragments in real time.
Tap a highlighted fragment to capture just that text. Add a one-word context label like “menu”, “graffiti”, or “package” if you want.
By year end, your captured fragments form a wall of glances. Pro unlocks a printable PDF export of the wall.

What Pink Glance is not

Not a translator.
Not a document scanner.
Not a general notes app.
Pink Glance is a literal text-fragment journal. One tap, one fragment kept.

What stays on your device

No accounts, no email, no signup.
No analytics, no third-party SDKs.
Camera frames are processed by Apple's VisionKit on-device. Frames never leave the app.
Only the fragment text you tap plus your optional one-word label is saved. No full image is stored.
Entries are stored on-device with SwiftData. Nothing leaves your phone.
The only network calls Pink Glance makes are to Apple's StoreKit when you choose to subscribe or buy Lifetime.

Requirements

iPhone with iOS 16 or later (VisionKit DataScannerViewController).
iPhone XS or newer for hardware text-recognition support.
Camera permission. Pink Glance asks once, on first scan.

Pricing

Three glances, free. Pro unlocks unlimited captures, the year-end fragment wall PDF, and the Lock Screen widget:

Pro Monthly: $3/month, with a 14-day free intro on the first subscription.
Pro Annual: $13/year.
Pro Lifetime: $29 one-time.

All purchases are handled by Apple and managed under your Apple ID. Pro is Family-Shareable through Apple's standard Family Sharing.

To restore a purchase on a new device, open Pink Glance, tap the settings icon, open the paywall, and tap Restore Purchases. Apple will re-verify your Apple ID's entitlements.

To cancel an auto-renewing subscription, open the Settings app on iPhone, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, then Pink Glance Pro.
