Privacy Policy

Short version

Pink Drowse does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. When you tap Listen now, the app records eight seconds of ambient audio and classifies it on your device using Apple's Sound Analysis. The audio clip is discarded after classification. Right after the listen, the app writes one short line about how the night sounded, with Apple's on-device language model when Apple Intelligence is available. The line, the color, the emoji, and a small audio fingerprint all stay on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs that contact a server. The only network calls the app makes are to Apple's StoreKit when you choose to subscribe or unlock the Lifetime tier.

Who we are

Pink Drowse is published by Danielius Studio LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company at 30 N Gould St, Suite #5280, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA (“we”, “us”).

Data we do NOT collect

• No account, no email, no password — the app has no signup.
• No analytics, no telemetry, no event tracking.
• No advertising identifiers (no IDFA, no fingerprinting).
• No usage data sent off the device.
• No location, no contacts, no calendar. The app does not request these permissions.
• No HealthKit, no Health data.

System permissions

Pink Drowse requests Microphone access only, to record the eight seconds of ambient sound you start with Listen now. Each clip is analyzed on-device by Apple's Sound Analysis classifier and discarded immediately after. Raw audio is never saved, never played back, and never leaves the device. You can revoke microphone access at any time in iOS Settings → Pink Drowse.

What stays on your device

• Your lines: for each day you listen, the line, its color and emoji, the time of the listen, and a small audio fingerprint (32 loudness values that cannot be turned back into sound). Stored in on-device SwiftData. Past lines stay saved for the Sunday look back.
• The current and longest daily streak, stored in on-device SwiftData, and the date the app was first launched, stored in UserDefaults.
• Whether the onboarding screen has been acknowledged.
• If you allow reminders, the time of day you usually open the app, so a few tips and reminders arrive at a good moment in your first week. They are scheduled on your device and nothing is sent to us.

All of the above lives on your device and never leaves it. Uninstalling the app deletes it.

On-device sound analysis and language model (Apple Intelligence)

The night audio is classified by Apple's on-device Sound Analysis framework. The line is written by Apple's on-device language model through public FoundationModels APIs on iOS 26 or later. Both run on your iPhone's Neural Engine. The eight-second clip is passed to Sound Analysis in-process and discarded right after. The classification labels and a few values of the audio fingerprint are passed to the language model in-process and the resulting line never leaves the device. The app does not use Apple's Private Cloud Compute fallback for any of these features.

The language model needs an Apple Intelligence-capable device (iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, or newer) running iOS 26 or later, with Apple Intelligence turned on. Without it, the app writes a line that names the sounds it heard in plain words, also on your device.

In-app purchases

Everything is unlocked for your first three days. After that, free use keeps up to 7 saved lines, and Pink Drowse Pro removes that limit. If you choose to subscribe (Monthly, Annual) or buy the Lifetime unlock, that transaction is handled by Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the payment and shares only the receipt with the app so we can verify your entitlement. We never see your card number, billing address, or any personal information beyond Apple's opaque transaction identifier.

Subscription receipts are stored on-device by iOS and used to validate your entitlement when you re-open the app. They are not sent to any server we operate.

Family Sharing

Pink Drowse Pro purchases (Monthly, Annual, Lifetime) are Family-Shareable through Apple's standard Family Sharing mechanism. Apple handles eligibility checks; we do not see who is in your family group.

Children

Pink Drowse is rated 4+ in the App Store. Because the app collects no data at all, it complies with COPPA and similar children's-privacy regulations by design.

Your rights

Because Pink Drowse does not collect data, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on your behalf. To revoke all access and remove all on-device state, including your saved lines and your streak count, simply delete the app.

Changes

If we ever introduce a feature that involves any data leaving the device (for example, cloud sync of past lines), this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date at the top will change. For v1.0, no such feature exists.
