Terms of Use
Acceptance
By installing or using the Pink Cat iOS app (“Pink Cat”, “the app”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
Pink Cat is published by Danielius Studio LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company at 30 N Gould St, Suite #5280, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA (“we”, “us”).
What Pink Cat is
Pink Cat is a personal cat-translation app for iPhone. You hold the record button while your cat makes a sound; the app captures a short audio clip, classifies it on-device using Apple's SoundAnalysis framework (recognizing labels such as cat, cat_meow, and cat_purr), measures the dominant frequency with Apple's Accelerate framework, and asks Apple's on-device Foundation Models for a 1-2 sentence plain-English translation of what your cat is likely saying. The capture becomes a dated entry with the sound-type label, the frequency in hertz, the duration, the on-device translation, and an optional context note you typed.
Pink Cat is not a veterinary diagnostic tool, a behavioral assessment, an animal-communication service, or a substitute for advice from a qualified veterinarian or animal-behavior professional. The translation is a playful interpretation produced by a general-purpose on-device language model from a short, noisy audio sample; it is not a reading of your cat's mind and it does not diagnose pain, illness, or distress.
Pink Cat requires an Apple-Intelligence-capable device with Apple Intelligence enabled in Settings: iPhone 15 Pro, the iPhone 16 or 17 series, or an M1+ iPad on iOS 26 or later. On unsupported devices the translation step displays a notice and is disabled; sound classification and frequency readout still work, but no translation text is generated.
The app makes no network calls except to Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases. All sound classification and translation runs entirely on-device. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Microphone permission and what we do with it
Pink Cat uses the microphone only while you are holding the record button on the capture screen, and only to record the short audio clip for the entry you are creating. The app does not run speech recognition, voice-print analysis, speaker identification, or any other intelligence intended for human voices. The captured audio and the analysis results are kept in the app's private container.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pink Cat on iOS devices you own or control, subject to Apple's standard App Store Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “EULA”) which is incorporated by reference: apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the Apple EULA controls.
Free tier and subscriptions
Pink Cat is free to install. The free tier includes three translations lifetime so you can try the experience without any payment and without an account.
After the three free translations, you may continue using the app to view your saved entries and to record sounds, OR unlock Pink Cat Pro for unlimited translations, the year cat book PDF export, and the Lock Screen widget. Pro is available as Monthly ($4/month with a 14-day free intro), Annual ($25/year), or Lifetime ($59 one-time) from the Settings screen.
All payments are processed through Apple's StoreKit and are subject to Apple's standard subscription terms, including auto-renewal for the Monthly and Annual tiers. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel subscriptions at any time in the iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions screen.
The Lifetime tier is a one-time non-consumable purchase. It remains active for as long as Apple keeps Pink Cat available on the App Store under your Apple ID.
Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse engineer, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works of Pink Cat, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law. You are responsible for the sounds you record and for respecting the privacy of any people who may be heard in the background; the app provides no sharing or publishing surface, and entries are kept locally for your own personal reflection.
Not veterinary advice, not professional advice
Pink Cat is a personal-artifact app that interprets a short cat sound through Apple's on-device sound classifier and on-device language model. The translation is a playful interpretation and not advice of any kind. Do not rely on it for veterinary care, medical decisions, behavior diagnosis, training plans, or any other safety-critical purpose. If you believe your cat is sick, in pain, or behaving unusually, contact a qualified veterinarian.
Disclaimers
Pink Cat is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the sound classifier will recognize every cat call, that the dominant frequency will be measured under noisy conditions, or that the on-device language model will produce a consistent or accurate translation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Danielius Studio LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.
Apple as third-party beneficiary
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Danielius Studio LLC, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for Pink Cat or its contents. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Sheridan County, Wyoming, except where Apple's EULA requires otherwise.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of Pink Cat after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
