Ines Talbeck photographs the hour before anything happens. A tram before its first passenger. A baker before the queue. A pool before the whistle.

She never asks anyone to pose. She waits until they forget she is there, then waits a little longer. The prints are made in daylight on soft paper, and paper remembers. Look at how these ones curl.

Twelve prints, hung slowly. Take your time.
