Simmerly

Small-batch simmer sauce

Slow-cooked in pots, poured over dinner.

Shop the jars

A new angle on dinner.

Tip it, tilt it. Roasted tomatoes, fennel and a little chilli, from every side.

Give it a flip.

Six hours on the stove. One turn of the wrist.

Pour the evening.

Over chicken, rice or whatever is left in the fridge.

What is inside

Real food, cooked slowly.

Four things you could find in your own kitchen. No added sugar, no thickeners, nothing to hide.

  1. 01Roasted tomatoesRoasted until they turn sweet and a little smoky.
  2. 02Fennel seedToasted whole, then crushed straight into the pot.
  3. 03Olive oil and garlicA slow start that gives the sauce its body.
  4. 04A little chilliWarmth at the back of the tongue, never the front.

Our story

Small pots, slow fires.

Every batch starts in a 60-litre pot and ends in a jar we fill by hand while the sauce is still hot.

It takes six hours. It tastes like it.

The jar

Why the jar matters.

  1. 1

    Glass, not plastic

Nothing leaves a taste behind, and the jar goes on to hold your pens.

  2. 2

    Filled hot, sealed fresh

The lid pulls down as the sauce cools, so it keeps without preservatives.

  3. 3

    A lid that clicks

A small pop on the first twist tells you it was sealed.
