Short version

Pink Sage opens Apple's system Journaling Suggestions picker, lets you pick one suggestion the system surfaces (a completed workout, a recent photo, a place you visited, a contact you called, a song you played), accepts a single line of reflection from you, and weaves a short two-to-three line card on-device with Apple's Foundation Models. The suggestion you picked, the line you typed, and the generated card all stay on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no third-party SDKs that contact a server. The only network calls the app makes are to Apple's StoreKit when you choose to subscribe or unlock the Lifetime tier.

Who we are

Pink Sage is published by Danielius Studio LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company at 30 N Gould St, Suite #5280, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA (“we”, “us”).

Data we do NOT collect

Journaling Suggestions permission

Pink Sage requests the Journaling Suggestions permission (the NSJournalingSuggestionsUsageDescription permission) so that Apple's system picker (JournalingSuggestionsPicker, available on iOS 17.2 and later) can show you suggestions surfaced from your own device activity. The picker is owned and controlled by Apple. Pink Sage never sees your full Health data, full Photos library, full Calendar, full Contacts, or full location history. The picker shows you suggestions; the app only ever receives the single suggestion you explicitly pick.

The data flow is one-way: the picker hands the app a small structured suggestion (for example, the title and date of a workout you completed, or the asset identifier of a photo you chose to attach). Nothing else is shared with the app, and the app cannot ask the picker for more.

What stays on your device

All of the above lives on your device and never leaves it. Uninstalling the app deletes everything Pink Sage has stored.

On-device language model (Apple Intelligence)

The two-to-three line card is generated by Apple's on-device Foundation Models, accessed through the public LanguageModelSession API on iOS 26. The model executes on your iPhone's Neural Engine. The suggestion you picked and the line you typed are passed to the model in-process and never leave the device. Pink Sage does not use Apple's Private Cloud Compute fallback for this feature.

Card generation is available only on Apple Intelligence-capable devices running iOS 26 (iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16, or newer with the A17 Pro chip or later). On unsupported devices, the suggestion and your line still save as an entry, but the card-weaving step is skipped.

Lock Screen widget

Pink Sage Pro includes a Lock Screen widget that shows today's sage count. The widget reads only the count and the timestamp of the most recent entry from an App Group container on your device. No suggestion content or reflection text is rendered on the Lock Screen and nothing is sent off the device for the widget to function.

In-app purchases

If you choose to subscribe (Monthly, Annual) or buy the Lifetime unlock, that transaction is handled by Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes the payment and shares only the receipt with the app so we can verify your entitlement. We never see your card number, billing address, or any personal information beyond Apple's opaque transaction identifier.

Subscription receipts are stored on-device by iOS and used to validate your entitlement when you re-open the app. They are not sent to any server we operate.

Family Sharing

Pink Sage Pro purchases (Monthly, Annual, Lifetime) are Family-Shareable through Apple's standard Family Sharing mechanism. Apple handles eligibility checks; we do not see who is in your family group.

Children

Pink Sage is rated 4+ in the App Store. Because the app collects no data at all, it complies with COPPA and similar children's-privacy regulations by design.

Your rights

Because Pink Sage does not collect data, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on your behalf. To revoke the Journaling Suggestions permission, use iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Journaling Suggestions. To remove all on-device state, delete the app.

Changes

If we ever introduce a feature that involves any data leaving the device (for example, cloud sync or sharing), this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date at the top will change. For v1.0, no such feature exists.
