Pink Cinder

One depth-colorized photo a day. A year of them on your wall.

Open Pink Cinder once a day. Take a portrait. The camera's depth map paints near and far in a soft gradient, so every photo reads as a slice of space, not a flat snapshot. The image saves to a year wall and the Lock Screen widget shows today's depth-viz without unlocking. At the end of the year, 365 depth-colored frames scroll past as a record of where you stood.

How it works

  1. Open Pink Cinder once a day. Frame a portrait of a person, a face, an object close up.
  2. The dual-camera or LiDAR sensor records a depth map alongside the photo.
  3. Pink Cinder paints near pixels one color and far pixels another, blending the in-between.
  4. The depth-colorized photo saves to your year wall, on device only.
  5. Pin the Lock Screen widget to glance at today's depth-viz without unlocking.

What makes it different

Pink Cinder is the only Danielius Studio app that turns the iPhone depth sensor into a daily journal. Other studio journals collect one color, one feeling word, one voice memo, or one breath. Pink Cinder collects one slice of space, every day, and builds it into a year you can scroll.

Requires a depth sensor

Pink Cinder needs a dual-camera or LiDAR-equipped iPhone or iPad to capture depth. Supported devices include iPhone 7 Plus and newer dual-camera models, iPhone 12 Pro and newer LiDAR models, and any iPad Pro with LiDAR. On devices without a depth sensor, Pink Cinder shows a clear message and does not capture.
