Quiet
by design

One slab of lacewood, sixty-six keys and a brass knob. No lights, no logo on the top, nothing on the desk that asks to be looked at.

02 Case

Seven coats,
rubbed by hand

Every case is sanded and lacquered seven times. Each coat dries for a week, then is rubbed back until the grain shows through the red.

03 Plate and caps

Brass against
lacquer

A brushed brass plate, ivory keycaps, red lacquer. Three materials that sit differently in the hand, and each one is meant to be seen on its own.

04 Batch

Numbered,
never repeated

One hundred and twenty boards a batch. The number is stamped on a brass plate on the front edge, and the red is never mixed twice.
